According to Billboard, the artist formally known as Prince is recording a song the track will be a “tribute to all people of the city of Baltimore.” The track will address the death of Freddie Gray, who died after suffering a spinal injury while in custody of the Baltimore police last month. The song will take a closer look at the socio-political issue in not just that city the nation following the many deaths of young black men including Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin. No release date or title has been revealed for the track, which was reportedly recorded at Paisley Park earlier this week.
